Prior to the 2001 Summer League each
team played for their own designated charity and money was distributed
based on how each team finished at the conclusion of the playoffs.
Those charities included The Make a
Wish Foundation the CJ Foundation
for SIDS and the United
Cerebral Palsy of NYS (Rockland affiliate) as well as many local
charities and causes in Rockland county. We have always urged support
for charities that support children.
