Status:
The rosters are frozen during the last 6 weeks of
each season. At that point players may
not be added or changed for the remainder of that season and each team
may have no more than 12 active players on their roster. A player will
be
required to play a minimum of 12 regular season games to be eligible
for the
playoffs. Unless a player has been purposely de-activated there will be
an 'A' in this column for 'active' or a 'P' for 'playoff eligible' if
the player has played the minimum amount of games. Each team is
required to submit a final roster of no more than 12
active players by the cutoff date. If no final roster is submitted the
League reserves the right to de-activate as many players as necessary
to make a team comply to the 12 player limit. Usually this is done by
de-activating the players with the least amount of games. Any players
on a roster without full first and last names will also be de-activated
at the cutoff date.
Win %:
A percentage of wins vs losses on a scale of 0-1000
calculated like a baseball batting average.
High in and High out:
these categories display the highest allstar 01-in and 01-out
the player has thrown to date. When the player beats his own score the
previous score is discarded.
All-Star Points:
All-Star points are calculated per turn for each game, points
are kept track of on the score sheet and added up at the end of the
night.
For 01: Any turn where the players three or less darts score 95
points or better is considered an all star turn. Points are awarded as
scored.
For Cricket: In a turn
where three or less darts score 5 marks or better or at least 4 bulls,
all stars are awarded as per this table:
C5: 100 points
C6/B4: 120 points
C7: 140 points
B5: 150 points
C8: 160 points
C9/B6: 180 points
Player Points and Player Rating:
The Player stats include Points and Rating categories. These are
both based on the following scale:
0 - 25 Novice
26 - 50 Average
51 - 75 Good
75+ excellent
100+ exceptional
150+ Elite
Current League average for all active players: 45.59
Most Playes fall in the 0 - 75 range, very few players average over 100
ponts per season. Click on the conference links on the stat page for a player list by points.
The score for each category is calculated with the same system where
singles wins contribute the majority of points to the total score
followed by all-stars points and then doubles wins. The total points a
player can receive is the same regardless of season length so the point
score is a fixed ability rating whether it's a short summer season or a
long winter season. Points are calculated on curve based on winning
percentage and all-stars per game. This results in a more realistic
ability rating where a player who ends the season 18-0 is going to have
a higher score than the player who finishes 18-18. Likewise the player
who scores 1000 all-stars in 10 games is going to have more points than
the player who scores 1000 all-stars in 20 games. This provides a
better comparison of player ability rather than the old point system
which was just an alternate way of tallying wins.
What the Scores mean:
Points: Actual Rating points
accumulated to date based on each game being a percentage of season
length.
All unplayed games (both
missed and yet to be played) are averaged in. The final total score at
the end of the season is the player's performance based on the total
number of possible games.
Rating: Player Rating based
solely on actual games played during the current season (Ignores missed
games and season length).
Many players don't play all games and it is not possible to compare
a player who played very few games with players
who play every week during the season. This score is included only as a
reference to indicate the players potential
rating if they performed at their current pace for an entire season
playing every possible game. This score may or may
not reflect the player's actual ability although it should be
reasonably accurate for those players who have played 16 games or more.
CRating: (Career Rating) Player Rating based on all games
played since the rating system was started in May of 2003. Again this
score
is calculated the same way as the Season Rating and may not be
particularly
accurate for players who have played very few games. Also
this is not a professional sports organization and my stat keeping is
sometimes
only as good as the players who email me with spelling
corrections. The computer won't know that Mike Smith is Michael Smith
and
as players move from team to team there is a chance
that their stats may not follow them. I will try and keep things as
straight
as I can.
Teams will be evaluated and placed into respective conferences based in
part on average team ratings.

least one game during the current season.
